F.R.David was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from F.R.David and Words together. Words carries a very emotional theme throughout the album. On Words album, F.R.David have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. I wish that “Words” album was instrumental.
Words couldn’t start better than with the up up-beat title track Pick up the phone. Take me back was the first single release from the album Words. Music still maintains something of a specific flourish. Someone to love - My least favorite song on this album. Vocal harmonies in this track are great and song structure is just right. This is one of those tracks that should not be judged after the first hearing. Charming song, great melody. I like to sing along with Porcelain eyes, though I mess up the lyrics sometimes. F.R.David allows each song to breathe and flourish.
