‘Storm at Sunup’ kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. Lead single “Storm at Sunup” and “Love Me Now” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. Mila Sparrow has compared writing for Gino Vannelli’s new album to that on ‘Storm at Sunup’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. This album is in perfect progression from Gino Vannelli!
You have to get essence of the Love Me Now’s power, to truly understand this masterpiece. You can find feelings on this piece of art. Father and Son is nothing short of a modern masterpiece. I loved Where Am I Going the first time I heard it. Outside of the singles, my favorite song on Storm at Sunup is Keep on Walking. Love Is a Night is worth the money. Gettin’ High is kind of track that compels you to skip back and drink it in one more time before moving on through Storm at Sunup.
