While no new Giorgos Ntalaras album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 1974 tour in Europe. On the Iceland charts, superstar Giorgos Ntalaras’s career stalled before it left the starting gate. This -song debut EP shows the promise that Giorgos Ntalaras has. Anavaftisi and Koubenta M’ Ena Louloudi is really good.
Koubenta M’ Ena Louloudi to me is the best you can get from Giorgos Ntalaras. Karterema is an underrated song: I like its lyrics and melody a lot. It’s very catchy and easy to get into which is what you want in a song. Simply the finest work ever from this multi-talented singer. Augi was the first single release from the album 18 Lianotragouda Ths Pikrhs Patridas. De Ftanei - My least favorite song on this album. Music and lyrics of Prasini Mera creates, for me, fertile ground for daydreaming. Lyrics of Silleitourgo are precise and evocative. To Nero is simple, dignified and effective, Giorgos Ntalaras refusing to over-emote, and demonstrating that less is more. To Kuklamino actually sounds so joyous, that you can practically see a smile on Giorgos Ntalaras’s face. Aigna Koritsia - A nice song. The sound of T’ Apro Tzokklisi is difficult to describe, as it seems to squirm in a sensual manner, unlike anything ever created. You have to get essence of the Epitumbio’s power, to truly understand this masterpiece. Giorgos Ntalaras offers the kind of music here that makes you reflect on yourself. I have all of Giorgos Ntalaras’s tracks and To Xtisimo is probably the most his introspective effort. This song is like perfectly aged vintage bordeaux wine not a tequila shot. I like the idea behind Thn Pomiosyni Min Tin Klais.
