This disc has all of the essential Gong classics. This album has some very good songs like Other Side Of The Sky and Sold To The Highest Buddah. There is no doubt that Gong has talent. To me Gong is the best band ever.
Sold To The Highest Buddah - I like this one. Castle In The Clouds is possibly the most mysterious and inexplicable track Gong ever produced. Prostitute Poem is a romantic if not formulaic ditty. This song stands out greatly from the others. Selene was the first single release from the album Angel’s Egg. Overall a nice softer song. Charming song, great melody. Outer Temple is a nice, innocuous song, and much better than anything Gong released so far. Inner Temple have really caught my ear and imagination. Some of the arrangements found on Angel’s Egg are surprisingly edgy. Love Is How You Make It is one of the more up-tempo songs on Angel’s Egg. I believe I Never Glid Before is one of the most astounding, heartfelt songs ever written. Such hits like Eat That Phone Book Coda will leave you hooked. Ooby-Scooby Doomsday Or The D-Day Dj’s Got The D.D.T. Blues is another favourite of mine.
