After debuting at No. 1 last week, Grandmaster Flash’s album More Hits From… falls to No. 2 with 316,000, a sales slide of 58%. Grandmaster Flash had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. Cool, but I like their other actual stuff better like More Hits From….
Some of the arrangements found on More Hits From… are surprisingly edgy. In King Of The Streets the music gets its power. Message (Remix) - My least favorite song on this album. I was truly moved when I heard She’s Fresh. Showdown is a striking and quite long song. Music of Super Rappin’ No. 1 is gentle, never overbearing. I came to like The Adventures Of Grandmaster Flash On The Wheels Of Steel. When I listen to The New Adventures Of Grandmaster in my car when traffic ain’t going so good. White Lines (UK Remix) have really caught my ear and imagination. I like the agression and power of World War III.
