On Workingman’s Dead album, Grateful Dead have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. This nine-song debut EP shows the promise that Grateful Dead has. This is one of the best Cd’s Grateful Dead has dropped to date. This album is awesome.
High Time - is a breath or fresh air compared to many previous songs of Grateful Dead. Dire Wolf which is my favorite is a truly Grateful Dead sounding song. New Speedway Boogie is one of these floating songs. Cumberland Blues was the first single release from the album Workingman’s Dead. Black Peter is a catchy, up-tempo track that has influence of music streams without leaning too much in that direction. Easy Wind - Grateful Dead first major hit. I think Casey Jones is the best song Grateful Dead has ever done.
