This is one of the best Cd’s Hanoi Rocks has dropped to date. five years ago, Hanoi Rocks briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Don’t Follow Me”. On Oriental Beat album, Hanoi Rocks have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. Unappreciated gift to Metal: Heavy
Don’t Follow Me is one of these floating songs. In Visitor the music gets its power. Teenangels Outsiders is almost impossible to review. I think Sweet Home Suburbia is the best song Hanoi Rocks has ever done. M.C. Baby is a catchy, up-tempo track that has influence of music streams without leaning too much in that direction. One listen to the sheer beauty of No Law Or Order was all I needed. Oriental Beat is probably the most interesting track on Oriental Beat. Devil Woman - I just love it. When listening to Lightnin’ Bar Blues, it gives me such an energy rush it’s unbelievable. Fallen Star - A strong beat.
