Main Title and Go is really good.
Go is filled with very deep emotions that will truly touch your heart. Drogheda can be hardly overrated by any means; this is what Henry Mancini is all about. Excellent vocals and musical performances. This is one hell of a track. Stuie Grows Up is nothing short of a modern masterpiece. Vocal harmonies in this track are great and song structure is just right. Passion Play hits the heart. This track is possibly the biggest guilty pleasure on The Thorn Birds Cd1. Meggie Grows Up great lyrics, dark, deep, angry and cool.Baby Hal Dies is the excellent blend of moody yet optimistic tunes. I like The Rams And The Ewes because it’s extremely catchy and has awesome drumming. Parting is a pleasing, and full of overall coherence that goes beyond other creations. This track is a fabulous selection of easy listening, suitable for any age, taste or occasion. Fire On Drogheda - I like this one. Search For Paddy is an incredible song that has everything it needs to be another favorite track. Father Ralph Returns And Funeral Procession is nothing but pure genius. Voice and instruments in Meggie’s Heartbreak complement each other. One of the songs that always stick in my mind is It’s Shearing You’re Hearing because the melody in the chorus is so good. Luke And Meggie the elegant and beautiful song on the album is hard to describe. Marry Me Meggin is worth the money. Arrival At The Vatican motivates you to get up and do something to improve your life and the life of others. Within the first few notes of The Announcement it’s perfectly clear that Henry Mancini is living this song.
