There is so much to love about Henry Mancini, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of Henry Mancini energies, virtually a rebirth. After debuting at No. 1 last week, Henry Mancini’s album Victor-Victoria falls to No. 2 with 170,000, a sales slide of 74%. This album is awesome.
The beautiful sound of this track makes you want to close your eyes and sway away with the music. Simple and heartfelt closing track Alone In Paris closes Victor-Victoria on a high note. Gay Paree is worth the money. You And Me [#] can be hardly overrated by any means; this is what Henry Mancini is all about. It took me a little time but I ended up loving You And Methe Idea [#]. This is probably my favorite song on the album. A Sub For Lover [#] is new, fresh, and hypnotizing. The song feels complete. Le Jazz Hot is filled with very deep emotions that will truly touch your heart. Lyrics of Medley Le Jazz Hot (Bows)The Unveiling are precise and evocative. You And Me [#] is the more seemingly obscure song on Victor-Victoria that bear up best to repeated listening. I’m Horny [#] is a very good song maybe surprisingly better than you at first might’ve imagined. Chicago, Illinois [#] still maintains something of a specific flourish. Outside of the singles, my favorite song on Victor-Victoria is The Shady Dame From Seville. A unique and uplifting song. Chicago, Illinois - For me, this is the best of the album. The Big Lift had me crying as I was able to relate so well. After you’ve listened to Elegant, most everything else can’t hold up and is second rate. Drag Blues [#] - arguably the best track on Victor-Victoria album. |titile| is a sure sign of something most of us are experiencing, maturity. Bedroom Radio [#] is outstanding work of Henry Mancini. Crazy World (Le Matelot Club) one of the most beautiful songs i’ve ever heard. Henry Mancini emotions are reflected through You And Me [#]. Once you hear Crazy World, you will listen to it over and over. Medley Crazy Worldsad Victoria [#] is one of those songs that will put you in a good mood. This track is just a stunning masterpiece. The Shady Dame From Seville is a good listen every once in a while. It’s a great pleasure to listen to Finale Shady Damele Jazz Hotcrazy World… from the beginning to the end. You And Me is the albums lead single as well as biggest hit. The Shady Dame From Seville [#] defines beauty, yet is as unforgiving as an astringent stone.
