fifteen years ago, Herb Alpert briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Rise”. This is one of the best Cd’s Herb Alpert has dropped to date. I am not a real Easy Listening music type of person, but i have to admit ‘Rise’ really is amazing. If you love Herb Alpert as much as I do, then Herb Alpert Rise is the CD for you!
From the moment you listen to Rise you’re hooked. This track, in particular, has the kind of undeniably catchy flavor. Musically Rotation is superior to other tracks in Rise. Street Life is probably the most interesting track on Rise. I listened to the opening track Love Is and liked it a lot. Album opener Angelina is a bright, upbeat ditty. Aranjuez (Mon Amour) (A-Ron-Ways) (6:42) - awsome.
