Herb Alpert’s debut, ‘The Brass Are Comin”, does not fit easily into one genre. Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Herb Alpert on ‘The Brass Are Comin”. ‘The Brass Are Comin” kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. Exciting stuff.
Good Morning Mr. Sunshine is a great song for a cosy night in when it’s cold and wintry outside. Country Lake - Herb Alpert first major hit. Simply the finest work ever from this multi-talented singer. The Brass Are Comin’ couldn’t start better than with the up up-beat title track Moon River. The Maltese Melody is a catchy, up-tempo track that has influence of music streams without leaning too much in that direction. Sunny marked the continuation of Herb Alpert in style evolution. I’m An Old Cowhand is the best music that I have heard from anyone in any area of music. Anna is the first taste of the new album. Only one song from The Brass Are Comin’ named Robbers And Cops really got me. The song Moments ending is my favorite… so catchy! Herb Alpert is one of artists that allow his songs like You Are My Life to stand on their own and be heard.
