four years ago, Horace Silver briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “If I Had You”. Since Horace Silver last CD (A Night at Birdland, Vol. 2) on Virgin Records back in 1954, I have felt a massive void in my life. Horace Silver had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. Check it every song is worth the money for the A Night at Birdland, Vol. 2 CD!
If I Had You gives taste of what makes Horace Silver special as a musician. Quicksilver (7:41) - awsome. Now’s The Time is filled with very deep emotions that will truly touch your heart. Confirmation - is a breath or fresh air compared to many previous songs of Horace Silver. Listening to The Way You Look Tonight you can hear that Horace Silver has still amazing chemistry with band members. Excellent vocals and musical performances.
