This is the first studio album from Husker Du since bad diagnosis in 1984. There were many famous songs of Husker Du available. ‘New Day Rising’ kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. Lots of variety between tracks. My favorite is Girl Who Lives On Heaven Hill
Girl Who Lives On Heaven Hill I just LOVE this mix! I Apologize is a fine track on any terms. Vocals of Husker Du in Folk Lore really capture me and are set perfectly to the rhythm. If I Told You - Husker Du first major hit. Although Celebrated Summer is very melodic it is far from sad. Perfect Example great lyrics, dark, deep, angry and cool.I think Terms Of Psychic Warfare is the best song Husker Du has ever done. This track is full of harmonies and gets New Day Rising off to a relaxing start. Powerline - This one is lively and fun. Books About Ufos - a classic song. No Husker Du song has come close to capturing my attention as I Don’t Know What You’re Talki did. How To Skin A Cat is nothing but pure genius. Whatcha Drinkin’ is Husker Du’s best work in years. Husker Du has created something that grabs you by the heart and gets you moving.
