Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Ian Tescee on ‘Io Theme’. This is the first studio album from Ian Tescee since bad diagnosis in 1984. Self-described as New Age with lots of words, Ian Tescee comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. I greatly enjoyed this CD.
A Voice From Faraway is one of my favorite songs by Ian Tescee. Voyager- Day 650 is a strong cut, one of many. Ian Tescee offers the kind of music here that makes you reflect on yourself. Mother Jupiter was the first single release from the album Io. Io Reprise can be hardly overrated by any means; this is what Ian Tescee is all about. In Floaters and Sinkers you won’t find any flashy solos. Hunters - This one is lively and fun. Listening to The Spirits and Secrets you can hear that Ian Tescee has still amazing chemistry with band members. Finale is a song you cannot help but think about at odd moments in your day. I think Beyond is the best song Ian Tescee has ever done.
