This disc has all of the essential Inti-Illimani classics. This is one of the best Cd’s Inti-Illimani has dropped to date. ‘Cancion Para Matar Una Culebra’ kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. If I may, I suggest “Hermanochay”. That one song is amazing!
Awesome song is really all that you can say about it. Inti-Illimani allows each song to breathe and flourish. Retrato - Check out that bassline! This track makes my mind whirl and vibrate with flowing energy. Sensemaya, Canto Para Matar Una Culebra actually sounds so joyous, that you can practically see a smile on Inti-Illimani’s face. Polo Doliente is Inti-Illimani’s best work in years. Alla Viene Un Corazon - This happy song is an ode to optimism and an anthem. Vuelvo is a marvelous song and it grows on you. Derrota De Don Quijote is just simply stunning. Within the first few notes of Angelita Huenuman it’s perfectly clear that Inti-Illimani is living this song. Samba Lando sets the tone for the entire album.
