After seeing El Aparecido, I had to have a good Inti-Illimani cd. Inti-Illimani was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Inti-Illimani and En Directo Italia together. three years ago, Inti-Illimani briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Ramis”. This is my first Inti-Illimani Album and i must say i am blown away.
Ramis has a beautifully haunting disco flavor. Mis Llamitas rocked my world when I popped it into my car stereo. Senora Chichera I just LOVE this mix! Y Arriba Quemando El Sol the elegant and beautiful song on the album is hard to describe. Tio Caiman had me crying as I was able to relate so well. One of the more genuine-sounding songs is Alturas. Simon Bolivar is new, fresh, and hypnotizing. Nice and different song. Ya Parte El Galgo Terrible has a fun tempo. Samba Lando catches attention immediately, El Pueblo Unido James Sere Vencido is flawed, nonetheless pretty good song.
