This is the first studio album from Inti-Illimani since bad diagnosis in 1974. Konzert For Chile isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. When you buy a Inti-Illimani album, you know exactly what you’re getting! Konzert For Chile is preety good and all the songs have a good meaning behind them.
Plegaria De Un Labrador - Quilapaion is one of the most beautiful songs ever to grace my stereo. Que Lindas Son Las Obreras - Quilapaion - My least favorite song on this album. Con El Alma Ilaena De Banderas - Quilapaion is a song that takes you on the journey before it reaches the conclusion. Vocal harmonies in this track are great and song structure is just right. Te Recuerdo Amanda - Patricio Castillo pretty much defines how I feel spiritually. Musically Dynde Este La Patria - Isabel Parra is superior to other tracks in Konzert For Chile. Inti-Illimani breathes new life into the music in Ya Parte El Galgo Terrible. Music of Chile Herido is gentle, never overbearing. Awesome song is really all that you can say about it. La Segunda Independencia is simply cool. El Pueblo Unido - Inti-Illimani & Quilapaion is Inti-Illimani’s best work in years. Venceremos - Inti + Quila + Parra + Castillo is a song to enjoy for years to come.
