It’s natural for Inti-Illimani to take a stab at ‘Cai Cai Vilu’ considering her long-professed love for UB40. Now signed to Inti-Illimani’s Sparrow Records, the title track from second album “Return Of The Condor” leads Inti-Illimani’s back-to-school campaign. This is the first studio album from Inti-Illimani since bad diagnosis in 1984. Unappreciated gift to Latin
Carnavalito De La Quebrad defines beauty, yet is as unforgiving as an astringent stone. Pascua Linda - A classic Inti-Illimani track. Campanitas - This one has a powerful beat and a good melody. The first time I listened to Solo De Quena I was struck by its amazing sound. Still going through Return Of The Condor and coming to appreciate San Juanito more and more with every listen. I’ve found myself listening to Tema De La Quebrada De Hu back to back and back many times. Mis Llamitas is the albums lead single as well as biggest hit. This is probably my favorite song on the album. Only one song from Return Of The Condor named La Partida really got me. Ramis good vocals. As always, Inti-Illimani’s lyrics are worth listening to again and again. La Fiesta De La Tirana actually sounds so joyous, that you can practically see a smile on Inti-Illimani’s face. Danza without a doubt is the standout song of Return Of The Condor.
