J. J. Cale had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. J. J. Cale’s debut, ‘Troubadour’, does not fit easily into one genre. There is so much to love about J. J. Cale, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. Lots of variety between tracks. My favorite is Travelin’ Light
If you are a J. J. Cale fan, you will love Travelin’ Light. I think You Got Something is the best song J. J. Cale has ever done. Ride Me High is a great song to contemplate the modern music and what it really is all about. Hold On is astounding. Cocaine is cool work of J. J. Cale. This is one of those tracks that should not be judged after the first hearing. The Woman That Got Away had me crying as I was able to relate so well. As always, J. J. Cale’s lyrics are worth listening to again and again. Opening track Let Me Do It To Away shows the best of J. J. Cale. Cherry is probably one of J. J. Cale’s biggest successes for the album - it’s lovely to listen to. A great put together song.
