It has been eight years Jacek Kaczmarski’ last studio CD, “Raj” which won Array Academy Awards� and was nominated for album of the year. Lead single “stworzenie swiata” and “sprawozdanie z raju” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. Jacek Kaczmarski had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. If you love Jacek Kaczmarski as much as I do, then Jacek Kaczmarski Raj is the CD for you!
I now have sprawozdanie z raju as one of my personal favorites. bal u pana boga - I like this one. przesluchanie aniola is just simply stunning. Voice of Jacek Kaczmarski in stracanie aniolow is honest and guitar work is subtle and poignant. Jacek Kaczmarski has created something that grabs you by the heart and gets you moving. wygnanie z raju is Jacek Kaczmarski’s best work in years. In pusty raj the music gets its power. Listening to wieza babel you can hear that Jacek Kaczmarski has still amazing chemistry with band members. hymn is a great song to contemplate the modern music and what it really is all about. walka jakuba z aniolem - This one makes me want to not only sing along. Album opener hiob is a bright, upbeat ditty. Although I prefer the faster paced music, I think rzez niewiniatek is my favorite song on Raj. Lyrics of chrystus i kupcy are precise and evocative. Jacek Kaczmarski rocks harder than ever with dzien gniewu. |titile| is a sure sign of something most of us are experiencing, maturity. Still going through Raj and coming to appreciate powrot more and more with every listen.
