While no new James Last album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 1984 tour in South America. This album has some very good songs like Mozart, Eine Kleine Nachtmusik and Chopin, Ballade. This disc has all of the essential James Last classics. I Love Classics Up To Date Vol.6 from start to finish!
Outside of the singles, my favorite song on Classics Up To Date Vol.6 is Chopin, Ballade. Corelli, Sonata No.5 is one of the best records ever. Paganini, Cantabile is a great song for a cosy night in when it’s cold and wintry outside. Haydn, Emperor Quartett is such a astounding and optimistic song that things can get just better. This song is dynamic and dramatic. Strong percussion and poignant lyrics of this track really gets under your skin. Mozart, Allegro is probably the most interesting track on Classics Up To Date Vol.6. Debussy, Reverie is the song that really did it for me. This is one of those songs that musicians strive to write and create. Brahms, Theme From Symphony No.1 one of the most beautiful songs i’ve ever heard. I can’t stop playing Mussorgsky, Promenade From ‘pictures At An Exhibition’.
