It has been nine years James Last’ last studio CD, “Die Grossten Songs Von The Beatles” which won Array Emmy� Awards and was nominated for album of the year. This disc has all of the essential James Last classics. ‘Die Grossten Songs Von The Beatles’ kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. This is my first James Last Album and i must say i am blown away.
A Hard Day’s Night is the most memorable and gorgeous. One of the songs that always stick in my mind is Let It Be because the melody in the chorus is so good. This is the kind of song I think of when I think of James Last. Lyrics of She Loves You are precise and evocative. Michelle without a doubt is the standout song of Die Grossten Songs Von The Beatles. One listen to the sheer beauty of Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da was all I needed. This song may be the most meaningful. Lady Madonna is a strong cut, one of many. All You Need Is love has a beautifully haunting disco flavor. James Last has created something that grabs you by the heart and gets you moving. This track is clearly meant to showcase James Last’s vocal abilities.
