Kalinka gives taste of what makes James Last special as a musician. Der Rote Sarafan the elegant and beautiful song on the album is hard to describe. After few listenings I started to like Russischer Volkstanz more and more. You can find feelings on this piece of art. This song is very powerful, its catchy melody will have you singing along in no time. There is perfect mix of music in Saebeltanz. Excellent vocals and musical performances. This is one of those tracks that should not be judged after the first hearing. This song is like perfectly aged vintage bordeaux wine not a tequila shot. From the moment you listen to Stenka Rasin you’re hooked. Lyrics of Zwischen Tag Und Nacht are precise and evocative.
