Flower In The Sun has a gorgeous instrumental sound, which lets Janis Joplin’s strong vocals come to the fore. I Need A Man To Love is a pleasing, and full of overall coherence that goes beyond other creations. The sound of Bye Bye Baby is difficult to describe, as it seems to squirm in a sensual manner, unlike anything ever created. This track is a killer, it just grabs you instantly. What sets Combination Of The Two apart is Janis Joplin’s innovative and organic way of creating atmospheres. Song Farewell Song is actually a funny song. Piece Of My Heart rocked my world when I popped it into my car stereo. I love the melodic melody of Catch Me Daddy and to this day it makes me feel good. No Janis Joplin song has come close to capturing my attention as Magic Of Love did. Summertime From Porgy and Bess - arguably the best track on Live At Winterland album. Light Is Faster Than Sound sets the tone for the entire album. In Ball and Chain you won’t find any flashy solos. Down On Me great lyrics, dark, deep, angry and cool.
