Janis Joplin with Big Brother and The Holding Company’s debut, ‘Live At The Winterland ‘68′, does not fit easily into one genre. While no new Janis Joplin with Big Brother and The Holding Company album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 1968 tour in Africa. This album has some very good songs like Down On Me and Flower In The Sun. IT makes me wanna dance!
Janis Joplin with Big Brother and The Holding Company sings his heart out in Flower In The Sun. I Need A Man To Love is a very catchy tune. Bye, Bye Baby is perfect song though, very addictive. Vocals of Janis Joplin with Big Brother and The Holding Company in Easy Rider really capture me and are set perfectly to the rhythm. Combination Of The Two has to be one of the most beautiful tracks on the entire album. Farewell Song is a very catchy tune. Best song on the album, love it. Catch Me Daddy is almost impossible to review. Magic Of Love make listening to Janis Joplin with Big Brother and The Holding Company like being in some sort of time warp. Strong percussion and poignant lyrics of this track really gets under your skin. Song Light Is Faster Than Sound is actually a funny song. Ball And Chain is possibly the best song Janis Joplin with Big Brother and The Holding Company has come up. The first time I listened to Down On Me I was struck by its perfect sound.
