It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of Jeff Lorber energies, virtually a rebirth. Jeff Lorber’s debut, ‘Step By Step’, does not fit easily into one genre. This disc has all of the essential Jeff Lorber classics. IT makes me wanna dance!
Groovacious (3:49) Not one of my favorites, but for a lot of people this is one of their best songs. Every Woman Needs It rocked my world when I popped it into my car stereo. On The Wild Side is one of the coolest songs Jeff Lorber has ever recorded. |titile| is quite refreshing and sets the tone for what is going on in Step By Step. This song has very few things relative to that of it’s predecessor. Pacific Coast Highway is the most memorable and perfect. It Takes A Woman was the first single release from the album Step By Step. Jeff Lorber emotions are reflected through When You Gonna Come Back Home. Step By Step, Instrumental is kind of track that compels you to skip back and drink it in one more time before moving on through Step By Step. Best Part Of The Night, Dub Mix is astounding.
