It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of Joe Cocker energies, virtually a rebirth. On The Best Of album, Joe Cocker have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. There were many famous songs of Joe Cocker available. Enjoy the show.
You Can Leave Your Hat On is probably one of Joe Cocker’s biggest successes for the album - it’s lovely to listen to. All of songs on The Best Of and have something to say letting alone When The Night Comes. Up Where We Belong is an upbeat song with a constant snare hit. Joe Cocker is hitting on all cylinders in Now That The Magic Has Gone. Don’t You Love Me Anymore is just a great song and one well worth taking the time to give it a good listen. I love the melodic melody of I Can Hear The River and to this day it makes me feel good. I can’t stop playing Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word. One listen to the sheer beauty of Shelter Me was all I needed. After about the third Feels Like Forever listen through, I began to believe this song is Joe Cocker’s essence. I like to sing along with Night Calls, though I mess up the lyrics sometimes. Don’t judge Don’t Let The Sun Go Down On Me on the first listening. This song may be the most meaningful. I was truly moved when I heard Civilized Man. Joe Cocker allows each song to breathe and flourish. After few listenings I started to like With A Little Help From My Friends more and more.
