Self-described as Jazz with lots of words, Joe Pass comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. On the Japan charts, superstar Joe Pass’s career stalled before it left the starting gate. Joe Pass’s debut, ‘Guitar Virtuoso CD3′, does not fit easily into one genre. This is one of Joe Pass best albums
Joe Pass has created something that grabs you by the heart and gets you moving. Time for Love - To me, this is the best song on the Guitar Virtuoso CD3. Other tracks are good but your best bet is to stick with Tarde. Gentle Tears sets the tone for the entire album. Lover Man is the best music that I have heard from anyone in any area of music. Oleo - My least favorite song on this album. Blues for Monty has a beautifully haunting disco flavor. Stompin’ at the Savoy I just LOVE this mix! I like the agression and power of Ornithology. Samba de Orfeu is the albums lead single as well as biggest hit. Donna Lee is an upbeat song with a constant snare hit. One listen to the sheer beauty of Sweet Georgia Brown was all I needed.
