‘Coltrane’ kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. one years ago, John Coltrane briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Chronic Blues”. There is so much to love about John Coltrane, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. Another great offering from John Coltrane.
Chronic Blues is the most memorable and gorgeous. After few listenings I started to like Straight Street more and more. Time Was (7:29) a good melody. Violets For You Furs pretty much defines how I feel spiritually. In While My Lady Sleeps the light shines equally on lyrics, vocals and instrumentation.
