This fourteen-song debut EP shows the promise that Jon Lord has. Now signed to Jon Lord’s SixSteps records, the title track from second album “Before I Forget” leads Jon Lord’s back-to-school campaign. When you buy a Jon Lord album, you know exactly what you’re getting! This is what good Metal: Heavy should be.
Tender Babes is sonically very melodic with nice haunting verses. This song is very powerful, its catchy melody will have you singing along in no time. Bach On To This is a bit different from Jon Lord stereotypical stuff. Before I Forget is astounding and different song. Say It’s All Right (4:47) Not one of my favorites, but for a lot of people this is one of their best songs. I think Burntwood is the best song Jon Lord has ever done. Where Are You? is a gorgeous sing-along. Going Home is a great song for a cosy night in when it’s cold and wintry outside. It’s also one of those rare songs that touchingly comfort the listener. Strong percussion and poignant lyrics of this track really gets under your skin. For A Friend is one of these floating songs. Interview - A classic Jon Lord track.
