Now signed to Juan Luis Guerra’s Columbia Records, the title track from second album “El Original 4.40″ leads Juan Luis Guerra’s back-to-school campaign. This disc has all of the essential Juan Luis Guerra classics. It has been five years Juan Luis Guerra’ last studio CD, “El Original 4.40″ which won Array Grammy Awards and was nominated for album of the year. El Original 4.40 is not something you should pass up.
Soplando good vocals. Carnaval is maybe the best thing the group’s ever done. Juana Mecho is perhaps one of the best tracks of the past decade. Jardinera is a pleasing, and full of overall coherence that goes beyond other creations. Sambomba presents the astounding mix of instruments on El Original 4.40. Once Loreta gets in your head, it will NEVER leave. Calle Gris is a great opener for El Original 4.40.
