I came to like Night People. Do Nothing Til You Hear from Me is a very catchy tune. Voice and instruments in I Had a Little Sorrow complement each other. After few listenings I started to like I m in Love more and more. Shadow Woman gets you up and jumping. It’s such an underrated song. Other tracks are good but your best bet is to stick with My Ship. It took me a little time but I ended up loving Don t Get Around Much Anymore. The sound of Make Love to Me is difficult to describe, as it seems to squirm in a sensual manner, unlike anything ever created. In Cry Like The Wind you won’t find any flashy solos. One listen to the sheer beauty of I m Thrilled was all I needed. Do I Hear A Waltz is one of my favorite songs by June Christy. Prelude To A Kiss - To me, this is the best song on the Ballads for Night People. And little sorrow is an upbeat song with a constant snare hit. Come To The Party - This one makes me want to not only sing along. This track is full of harmonies and gets Ballads for Night People off to a relaxing start. Go out of my heart - This happy song is an ode to optimism and an anthem.
