Since Junior Wells last CD (Hoodoo Man Blues) on ForeFront Records back in 1965, I have felt a massive void in my life. For older fans Hoodoo Man Blues will put a massive smile accross your face. There were many famous songs of Junior Wells available. This album is in perfect progression from Junior Wells!
|titile| is the kind of record that makes you remember why music can be so addictive. The opening track Good Morning Little Schoolgirl is very much like you would expect from other albums. I’ve found myself listening to Hound Dog back to back and back many times. Vocals of Junior Wells in In the Wee Small Hours of the Morning really capture me and are set perfectly to the rhythm. Hey Lawdy Mama - A classic Junior Wells track. This is the kind of song I think of when I think of Junior Wells. Early in the Morning is the best music that I have heard from anyone in any area of music. We’re Ready is a good listen every once in a while. Junior Wells allows each song to breathe and flourish. I was truly moved when I heard Chitlin Con Carne. The song Yonders Wall ending is my favorite… so catchy! From the sound of it, I believe the song can be a big radio hit. Chitlin Con Carne [Alternate Take] had me crying as I was able to relate so well.
