For older fans Islands will put a massive smile accross your face. There is no doubt that Kajagoogoo has talent. Since completing 1984’s ‘The Lion’s Mouth’, Kajagoogoo fulfilled their contract with SixSteps records and where under no obligation to release another album. Exciting stuff.
Turn Your Back On Me is gorgeous song though, very addictive. Melting The Ice Away - I just love it. The Power To Forgive (4:45) a good melody. Kajagoogoo rocks harder than ever with Big Apple. Turn Your Back On Me (Extended Dance Mix) is the albums lead single as well as biggest hit. The Lion’s Mouth (The Beast Mix) defines beauty, yet is as unforgiving as an astringent stone. Big Apple (Metro Mix) is an incredible song that has everything it needs to be another favorite track. There is amazing mix of music in Monochromatic (Live). It’s a great pleasure to listen to The Garden (Instrumental) from the beginning to the end. This track is possibly the biggest guilty pleasure on Islands. |titile| is the kind of record that makes you remember why music can be so addictive. This is the kind of song I think of when I think of Kajagoogoo. On A Plane which is my favorite is a truly Kajagoogoo sounding song. Part Of Me Is You is perhaps one of the best tracks of the past decade. Islands is another favourite of mine.
