Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Kim Robertson on ‘Lauda’. While no new Kim Robertson album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 1983 tour in Europe. When you buy a Kim Robertson album, you know exactly what you’re getting! This album is awesome.
Morgan Meaghan is the funkiest number on the album. March Of King Laois is a excellent, simple song by Kim Robertson at the top of his game. Skye Boat Song was the first single release from the album Wind Shadows. I find myself hearing bits of Spagnoletta here and there throughout my waking hours. Arron Boat Song (3:23) - awsome. Eleanor Plunkett is a fine track on any terms. Lyrics of Lament are precise and evocative. Only one song from Wind Shadows named King Of The Fairies really got me. Give Me Your Hand (2:36) a good melody. Once you hear George Brabazon, you will listen to it over and over. Bittersweet is nothing short of a modern masterpiece. Spright - This one makes me want to not only sing along. Kim Robertson rocks harder than ever with Bittersweet Ii. Carolans’ Dream is the song that really did it for me. This song is like perfectly aged vintage bordeaux wine not a tequila shot.
