Kitaro had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. Since Kitaro last CD (Silk Road Suite) on Blue Note Records back in 1983, I have felt a massive void in my life. Since completing 1983’s ‘Tienshan’, Kitaro fulfilled their contract with Blue Note Records and where under no obligation to release another album. If you want to hear real Electronic, get this record now!
Peace is a song that will not reduce you to tears but leave you thinking long after Silk Road Suite have ended. This is probably my favorite song on the album. Silk Road Theme presents the exquisite mix of instruments on Silk Road Suite. In Drifting Sand the light shines equally on lyrics, vocals and instrumentation. Fragrance Of Nature is a strong cut, one of many. Silk Road Fantasy is, without a doubt, my favorite song, ever. This is one of those tracks that should not be judged after the first hearing. Flying Celestial Nymphs is a medium tempo tune. Silk Road Theme: Andante is really a nice song to relax and listen too. Everlasting Road still maintains something of a specific flourish. Bell Tower actually sounds so joyous, that you can practically see a smile on Kitaro’s face. Sunset on Silk Road Suite is solid and easy to listen to. When listening to Westbound, it gives me such an energy rush it’s unbelievable.
