‘Conversations’ kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Lakshminarayana Subramaniam and Stephane Grapelli on ‘Don’t Leave Me’. Conversations isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. Lakshminarayana Subramaniam and Stephane Grapelli is one of my favourite bands of all time.
In this song fans will recognize the unique vocals of Lakshminarayana Subramaniam and Stephane Grapelli. Lakshminarayana Subramaniam and Stephane Grapelli must have run out of lyrics on the next track Paganini Caprice 5. Conversation is nothing short of a modern masterpiece. Walking In A Dream - I used to hate this song, but now it’s one of my favorites. Illusion is probably one of Lakshminarayana Subramaniam and Stephane Grapelli’s biggest successes for the album - it’s lovely to listen to. After you’ve listened to Tribute To Mani, most everything else can’t hold up and is second rate. French Resolution - isn’t quite as powerful vocally, but has a beautiful melody.
