After seeing Bird On A Wire, I had to have a good Leonard Cohen cd. Leonard Cohen was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Leonard Cohen and Songs From A Room together. While no new Leonard Cohen album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 1969 tour in South America. If I may, I suggest “Bird On A Wire”. That one song is amazing!
It’s such an underrated song. A Bunch Of Lonesome Heros is probably the highlight of the album. This song is very powerful, its catchy melody will have you singing along in no time. The first time I listened to Seems So Long Ago, Nancy I was struck by its gorgeous sound. This song could easily nestle itself onto the world top playlists. The Butcher is one of the coolest songs Leonard Cohen has ever recorded. This track is clearly meant to showcase Leonard Cohen’s vocal abilities. Lady Midnight is flawed, nonetheless pretty good song. This track is almost perfect, instrumentals and vocals combine awesomely.
