This is one of the best cd’s i have heard through the whole thing.
Letter To My (Back Door Friend) is the album’s biggest hit, I think. Fishing Clothes have really caught my ear and imagination. Morning Blues is almost impossible to review. Gamblers Blues - This one is what it is: a powerful, primal invitation to love. Strong, powerful vocals of Lightnin’ Hopkins in Wig Wearing Woman are very impressive. A fantastic track full of wonder. So much energy, so exciting a sound.Once you hear Lovin’ Arms, you will listen to it over and over. Rock Me Mama is astounding. |titile| is the kind of record that makes you remember why music can be so addictive. Vocal harmonies in this track are great and song structure is just right. Music and lyrics of Play With Your Poodle creates, for me, fertile ground for daydreaming. In You’re Too Fast it becomes nowhere more obvious that Lightnin’ Hopkins has yet to define own style. Only one song from Morning Blues - Charlie Blues Masterworks vol.8 named Love Me This Morning really got me. I’m Comin’ Home is one of the best records ever. Ride In Your New Automobile hits the heart. A great put together song.
