This album has some very good songs like Baby, Please Don’t Go and My Black Cadillac. On the Cyprus charts, superstar Lightnin’ Hopkins’s career stalled before it left the starting gate. I am not a real Blues music type of person, but i have to admit ‘The King Of Blues’ really is amazing. The King Of Blues is the best essence of Lightnin’ Hopkins.
My Black Cadillac is a pleasing, and full of overall coherence that goes beyond other creations. Music of It’s Crazy is gentle, never overbearing. Mojo Babe is a very catchy tune. This track is clearly meant to showcase Lightnin’ Hopkins’s vocal abilities. This track is just fantastic from start to finish. Mean Old Frisco is a exquisite, simple song by Lightnin’ Hopkins at the top of his game. Strong, powerful vocals of Lightnin’ Hopkins in Trouble In Mind are very impressive. Some call The Twister from The King Of Blues as a quiet invitation of an artist to sit and listen. Green Onion very upbeat. Sun Goin’ Down is another strong production from Lightnin’ Hopkins. Come Go Home With Me is an upbeat song with a constant snare hit. I’m A Stranger is a striking and quite long song.
