This is the first studio album from Lime since bad diagnosis in 1984. On Sensual Sensation album, Lime have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of Lime energies, virtually a rebirth. Sensual Sensation is preety good and all the songs have a good meaning behind them.
My Love sets the tone for the entire album. The sound of Don’t You Wanna Do It is difficult to describe, as it seems to squirm in a sensual manner, unlike anything ever created. Simple and heartfelt closing track Sensual Sensation closes Sensual Sensation on a high note. Take It Up is sonically very melodic with nice haunting verses. I Don’t Wanna Lose You is the albums biggest surprise. Vocals of Lime in Extrasensory Perception really capture me and are set perfectly to the rhythm. The Party’s Over - I like this one.
