Quand J’etais Chez Mon Pere without a doubt is the standout song of Almanach. Vocals of Malicorne in Margot really capture me and are set perfectly to the rhythm. Once Les Tristes Noces gets in your head, it will NEVER leave. Voici Venir Le Joli Mai is possibly the most mysterious and inexplicable track Malicorne ever produced. The song feels complete. Although Le Luneux is very melodic it is far from sad. Branle De La Haie - a classic song. Quand Je Menai Mes Chevaux Boire is nothing short of a modern masterpiece. La Fille Au Cresson marked the continuation of Malicorne in style evolution. L’ecolier Assassin (8:38) a good melody. The beautiful sound of this track makes you want to close your eyes and sway away with the music. La Fiancee Du Timbalier is almost impossible to review.
