After seeing Travelin’ Man, I had to have a good Melvin Taylor cd. On the Cyprus charts, superstar Melvin Taylor’s career stalled before it left the starting gate. This is one of the best Cd’s Melvin Taylor has dropped to date. Exciting stuff.
The song Low Down Dirty Shame ending is my favorite… so catchy! Lyrics of Escape are precise and evocative. Cold, Cold Feet is a great opener for Blues on the Run. Just Like A Woman is the marvelous blend of moody yet optimistic tunes. In Chitlins Con Carne it becomes nowhere more obvious that Melvin Taylor has yet to define own style.
