I am not a real Chanson music type of person, but i have to admit ‘Integrale (1968)’ really is amazing. While no new Michel Sardou album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 1968 tour in South America. There is so much to love about Michel Sardou, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. Michel Sardou is one of my favourite bands of all time.
God save the king catches attention immediately, Madame je is a good listen every once in a while. Je ne t’ai pas trompee is absolutely incredible. Folk song melody gives good insight into the truths. Le centre du monde - isn’t quite as powerful vocally, but has a beautiful melody. Outside of the singles, my favorite song on Integrale (1968) is Les dessins. Nous n’aurons pas d’enfants is a very good song maybe surprisingly better than you at first might’ve imagined.
