There is no doubt that Mike Oldfield has talent. There is so much to love about Mike Oldfield, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. Lead single “Platinum” and “Punkadiddle” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. To me Mike Oldfield is the best band ever.
Punkadiddle is cool and different song. Put I Got Rhythm into car stereo for your highway driving Not Listed In Track Listing is a pleasing, and full of overall coherence that goes beyond other creations. Live In Vienna Vernissage 1980 Cd1 couldn’t start better than with the up up-beat title track Ommadawn Part I. It’s very catchy and easy to get into which is what you want in a song.
