Miles Davis’s debut, ‘Steamin’ With The Miles Davis Quintet’, does not fit easily into one genre. three years ago, Miles Davis briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Salt Peanuts”. Since Miles Davis last CD (Steamin’ With The Miles Davis Quintet) on Virgin Records back in 1956, I have felt a massive void in my life. Steamin’ With The Miles Davis Quintet is the best essence of Miles Davis.
I like the agression and power of Salt Peanuts. I like Something I Dreamed Last Night because it’s extremely catchy and has awesome drumming. Diane - I used to hate this song, but now it’s one of my favorites. I can’t stop playing Well, You Needn’t. This song could easily nestle itself onto the world top playlists.
