It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of Minutemen energies, virtually a rebirth. Minutemen had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. Bean Spill isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. Cool, but I like their other actual stuff better like Bean Spill.
This is probably my favorite song on the album. Other tracks are good but your best bet is to stick with Case closed. Afternoons is a very good song maybe surprisingly better than you at first might’ve imagined. Opening track Futurism Restated shows the best of Minutemen.
