It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of Sonic Youth energies, virtually a rebirth. Sonic Death: Early Sonic 1981-1983 is an amazing album, racked with beauty.Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Sonic Youth on ‘Sonic Death’. This is what good Indie should be.
