This is the first studio album from Neil Sedaka since bad diagnosis in 1964. While no new Neil Sedaka album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 1964 tour in North America. There is so much to love about Neil Sedaka, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. Smart music for smart people.
Calender girl is filled with very deep emotions that will truly touch your heart. Happy birthday sweet sixteen still maintains something of a specific flourish. Breaking up is hard to do - I like this one. This track is a great song that still never gets old. I listened to the opening track Love will keep us together and liked it a lot. The Miracle song marked the continuation of Neil Sedaka in style evolution. Standing on the inside is another favourite of mine. This is one hell of a track. I go ape is the song that really did it for me. The queen of 1964 very upbeat. Breaking up is hard to do (slow version) is a fine track on any terms. I believe Little devil is one of the most perfect, heartfelt songs ever written. After few listenings I started to like That’s when the music take me more and more. Once Solitaire (live) gets in your head, it will NEVER leave. Stairway to heaven is one of the best records ever. One way ticket (to the blues) (2:24) - Oh, this is one of my favorites! Laughter In The Rain (Original Version) is a medium tempo tune.
