After debuting at No. 1 last week, Nik Kershaw’s album The Riddle falls to No. 2 with 898,000, a sales slide of 79%. Since Nik Kershaw last CD (The Riddle) on Sparrow Records back in 1984, I have felt a massive void in my life. Nik Kershaw’s debut, ‘The Riddle’, does not fit easily into one genre. Check it every song is worth the money for the The Riddle CD!
As always, Nik Kershaw’s lyrics are worth listening to again and again. Nik Kershaw is hitting on all cylinders in You Might. Wild Horses has a gorgeous instrumental sound, which lets Nik Kershaw’s strong vocals come to the fore. Easy without a doubt is the standout song of The Riddle. This track is a great song that still never gets old. City Of Angels is a bit of a show-tune. This is one hell of a track. This track is just a stunning masterpiece. Save The Whale is possibly the most mysterious and inexplicable track Nik Kershaw ever produced.
